These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings, enquiries, purchases and photography services provided by Zero B.S. Photos.

By booking a session or using the website, you agree to these terms.

1. About Zero B.S. Photos

Zero B.S. Photos is a London-based photography service operated by Dan Engels.

2. Services

Zero B.S. Photos provides photography services including, but not limited to:

  • individual professional headshots

  • LinkedIn and CV headshots

  • team and office headshots

  • acting headshots

  • dating profile photos

  • family sessions

  • event photography

  • event headshot activations

  • selected portrait and personal branding sessions

The exact service, package, number of edited images, delivery timing and location will be confirmed at the time of booking or quotation.

3. Bookings

Bookings are only confirmed once the required payment or agreed deposit has been received.

For standard individual bookings, payment is usually required upfront through the online booking or payment system.

For team bookings, event bookings or custom work, Zero B.S. Photos may provide a written quote and may request a deposit before confirming the booking.

The client is responsible for providing accurate booking details, including name, email address, phone number if required, location, date and time.

4. Pricing

Prices are shown on the website or provided by quote.

Zero B.S. Photos may update prices at any time, but confirmed bookings will not be affected unless the booking details change.

Founding prices, launch prices, discounts and special offers may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Unless stated otherwise, prices are not inclusive of VAT. Zero B.S. Photos is not currently VAT registered.

5. Location and travel

Individual sessions may take place at fixed London locations, agreed outdoor locations, client offices, homes, co-working spaces or other suitable places.

Some bookings may include travel within specified London areas. Additional travel fees may apply outside covered areas or for more complex logistics.

For team, event and custom bookings, location requirements will be agreed before the booking is confirmed.

The client is responsible for ensuring that the chosen location is safe, lawful and suitable for photography.

6. Client preparation

The client is responsible for arriving on time and suitably prepared for the session.

Zero B.S. Photos may provide guidance on clothing, location, timing and preparation, but final choices remain the client’s responsibility.

For office, team, event or private-location bookings, the client is responsible for ensuring access to the location and any necessary permissions.

7. Session timing and lateness

Session lengths are approximate and vary depending on the package and circumstances.

If the client is late, the session may still need to finish at the originally scheduled time.

If the client is significantly late or does not attend, the booking may be treated as cancelled and may not be eligible for a refund.

8. Rescheduling and cancellations

For standard individual bookings:

  • rescheduling is usually allowed with at least 48 hours’ notice

  • cancellations with at least 48 hours’ notice may be eligible for a refund or credit

  • cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may not be refundable

  • no-shows are not refundable

For team, event and custom bookings, cancellation and rescheduling terms may be agreed separately in writing.

If Zero B.S. Photos needs to cancel or reschedule due to illness, emergency, unsafe conditions, equipment failure, severe weather or other circumstances outside reasonable control, a new date will be offered or a refund provided where appropriate.

9. Weather and outdoor sessions

For outdoor sessions, weather may affect the shoot.

If conditions are unsuitable, Zero B.S. Photos may suggest rescheduling, changing location, moving indoors where possible, or continuing with adjusted expectations.

Light cloud, drizzle or normal London conditions may not automatically require rescheduling.

10. Image selection and editing

Unless agreed otherwise, Zero B.S. Photos selects the strongest images from the session and edits the final images included in the chosen package.

Editing may include exposure, colour, contrast, crop, skin tone and general polish.

Standard editing does not include heavy retouching, body reshaping, major object removal, extensive background replacement or complex image manipulation unless agreed separately.

Additional edits or extra images may be available for an additional fee.

11. Delivery

Edited images are delivered digitally.

Standard delivery timing will be stated on the relevant service page or agreed at booking. Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee.

Delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by workload, technical issues, illness or circumstances outside reasonable control. Zero B.S. Photos will communicate any significant delay where possible.

12. Image storage

Zero B.S. Photos may store image files for a limited period after delivery, but does not guarantee permanent storage.

Clients should download and back up delivered images promptly.

Zero B.S. Photos is not responsible for loss of files after delivery where the client has not downloaded or backed them up.

13. Copyright, licence and image use

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, copyright in all photographs remains with Zero B.S. Photos.

Clients receive a licence to use the delivered edited images for personal and professional purposes, including:

  • LinkedIn

  • CVs

  • company bios

  • websites

  • speaker profiles

  • internal profiles

  • social media

  • dating profiles, where relevant

  • personal use

Zero B.S. Photos reserves the right to use selected images from client sessions on its website portfolio and organic social media channels to show examples of its work.

Zero B.S. Photos will not use identifiable client images in paid advertising, sponsored posts, promoted campaigns or third-party commercial campaigns without specific permission.

Clients may request removal of identifiable images from the Zero B.S. Photos website portfolio or organic social media channels by emailing hello@zero-bs.studio. Removal requests will be actioned within 3 working days where reasonably possible.

Removal may not affect material already printed, published by third parties, shared by others, indexed by search engines, cached, screenshotted or otherwise distributed outside the direct control of Zero B.S. Photos.

For commercial advertising, paid media, resale, product packaging, large-scale campaigns or third-party commercial use by the client, additional permission or licensing may be required.

Clients must not sell, license or claim authorship of the images without permission.

14. Portfolio and marketing use

Zero B.S. Photos may use selected images from client sessions on its website portfolio and organic social media channels.

Zero B.S. Photos will not use identifiable client images in paid advertising, sponsored posts, promoted campaigns or third-party commercial campaigns without specific permission.

Clients may request removal of identifiable images from the Zero B.S. Photos website portfolio or organic social media channels by emailing hello@zero-bs.studio. Removal requests will be actioned within 3 working days where reasonably possible.

Removal may not affect material already printed, published by third parties, shared by others, indexed by search engines, cached, screenshotted or otherwise distributed outside the direct control of Zero B.S. Photos.

15. Team, event and group bookings

For team, event and group bookings, the client is responsible for:

  • confirming the number of people involved

  • communicating timing and preparation details to participants

  • ensuring the location is suitable and accessible

  • obtaining any internal permissions required

  • making sure participants understand the purpose of the photography

Where individual image permission is needed for public use by the client or organisation, the client is responsible for managing internal approvals unless otherwise agreed.

16. Client conduct and safety

Zero B.S. Photos reserves the right to stop or cancel a session if the environment is unsafe, unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, harassing or otherwise inappropriate.

In such cases, refunds may not be provided.

17. Results and expectations

Zero B.S. Photos will make reasonable efforts to deliver high-quality images consistent with the agreed service and visible portfolio style.

However, photography is subjective, and specific outcomes, expressions, reactions, casting results, employment outcomes, dating results, business results or other third-party responses cannot be guaranteed.

18. Liability

Zero B.S. Photos is not responsible for indirect losses, loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, reputational loss or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use delivered images.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

19. Website use

The website is provided for general information, enquiries and bookings.

Zero B.S. Photos aims to keep information accurate and up to date but does not guarantee that all content will always be error-free or available.

Website content, images, copy and branding must not be copied, reproduced or reused without permission.

20. Changes to these terms

Zero B.S. Photos may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version published on this page applies at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

21. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
